Fund Accounting Team Leader

Team Lead Fund Accounting – Private Equity Fund of Funds
Location: Luxembourg

Our client, a leading global investment firm specializing in alternative investments, is seeking an experienced Fund Accounting Team Lead to join its growing team in Luxembourg. This is a fantastic opportunity for a finance professional with a background in private equity fund administration to take on a leadership role within an international and dynamic work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Leadership & Supervision: Oversee daily operations of the Fund Accounting team, supervising and reviewing the work of two experienced fund accountants.
• Fund Accounting & Reporting: Manage NAV calculations, prepare cash flow notices, investor notifications, and oversee regulatory fund reporting (U 1.1, TPTOBS, S2.13).
• Regulatory & Compliance: Ensure timely transmission of regulatory fund reports and oversee the filing of “tax d’abonnement” declarations.
• Annual Accounts Preparation: Prepare annual accounts in compliance with Luxembourg GAAP and other relevant accounting standards.
• Corporate Accounting Support: Assist the Conducting Officer for Finance and Accounting in corporate accounting tasks.
• Process Optimization: Improve accounting and reporting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Requirements

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration (or equivalent qualification).
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience within the financial industry, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Industry Knowledge: Solid background in fund administration, particularly in Private Equity funds.
• Regulatory Compliance: Familiarity with Luxembourg CSSF regulations and applicable accounting principles.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in fund accounting, financial reporting, and related systems.
• Languages: Fluency in English is required; German is a strong advantage.
• Soft Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills with a proactive, hands-on approach.
